Common questions

What’s your refund policy?

Once you have purchased your class or monthly membership there will be no refunds unless that class gets cancelled and you do not wish to use it for a different class.

What should my child wear?

Workout attire required: Girls can wear gymnastic unitard w/ tights and/or fitted leggings & Tank or fitted Tshirt.  Boys can wear athletic shorts or pants, fitted tank/Tshirt and bare feet (Fitted clothing is easiest on aerial equipment as look shirts will go over their heads when they go upside down or get caught on equipment).

When are you Open?

We are at the studio during scheduled class times and private lessons/parties only including a minimum of 15min before and after each class.  We are available by phone (855) LUV-2-FLY from 10am - 9pm M-F and 9-6pm SAT & SUN.

Where are you located?

We are in the Central Park Plaza on the West side of Vandyke between 21 & 22 Mile Rd.
48129 Van Dyke Ave.
Shelby Twp., MI 48317
We are on the north side of the plaza (not facing Van Dyke) behind the NAILS Salon.

Can parents watch their kids classes?

Yes we welcome you to watch as we have some seating available but if you think it will interfere with your child's progress or cause a distraction to the class we recommend you leave and come back or we have a Hang Out Space in the basement with bathroom facilities.  If you have younger children with you we ask to take them to the hang out Space to prevent distraction and class interference.

How safe are these classes?

While there is always risk for injury in any activity we take your child's safety very serious.  We set rules with the students in advance and if they are causing a distraction that interferes with the safety of the class the coach has the right to require the child to sit on the sideline until they can join the class in a respectful manner.  All of our circus equipment is rated for 1500lbs minimum but usually 2,000-3,000 pounds and we safety check our equipment before every class and teach the students to do so as well.

MAIN RULES:
~ Wear fitted workout attire
~ Do not wear lotion and always wash hands before and after class.
~ NO Swinging or Spinning on equipment without coach's permission
~ NO using equipment without teachers permission.
~ ONE STUDENT PER Equipment unless directed by instructors for a doubles trick.
~ If someone is on an apparatus you must be TWO arms lengths away so you don't get hit.
~ NEVER try a trick without the teacher there to spot you unless the teacher passes you to execute that trick or sequence on your own.

What equipment do you use?

We have a variety of acrobatic and circus equipment that includes Aerial Silk Hammock, Aerial Silk/Tissue, Lyra/Hoop, Trapeze, Lollipop, Vertical Pole, Monkey Bars, Double Rings.  We also use traditional fitness, agility & conditioning equipment.  Most of our aerial studio is covered in a 2-inch mat with thicker mats used when needed.  Our ceilings are 12ft. tall and we use Sapsis rigging and Mountain Gear for rigging.  We progress students safely and make sure they show signs of readiness for every trick learned.

Do you have a Waiver?

YES we require every parent or legal guardian to sign a minor waiver (Under the age of 18) either online or at the studio before the child can attend class.  NO EXCEPTION.  FIT & FLY KIDS, LLC (aka. FIT & FLY Studio) and PoleFIT Revolution, LLC and any of their associates are not to be held liable for any injury or loss incurred at the above studio.  It is understood that you/your child is participating at their own risk.
